Frequently asked questions: help us to help you
To help us to provide the best possible service to all our patients, please
follow these guidelines wherever possible:
- Feel free to telephone the Doctor or Nurse for advice instead of making an
appointment
- For minor problems and common ailments, such as Colds and Flu you can often
help yourself to get better: contact NHS
Direct or see our self help guides
- Inform the practice if you are unable to keep your appointment
- Order repeat prescriptions before seeing your Doctor - not during the consultation
- Phone for repeat prescriptions after 11am or order online
- Request home visits only when absolutely necessary, if you need to, do so
before 10.30am
- Appointments are made initially for one person, if other members of the family
need to consult the doctor, please make a separate appointment
- Please be courteous to all staff, if you are not happy about something please
tell us either at the surgery, by phone or email, and we will do our best to help
- Try to give the receptionist as much information about your condition as possible
- Please remember - the Primary Care Centre is for urgent medical problems only
