Out of hours help - medical
Preston Primary Care Centre is open from 6.00 pm to 8.00 am Monday to Friday and
from 6.00 pm Friday evening over the weekend to 8.00 am Monday morning.
It is staffed by telephonists, nurses and GP’s. You can obtain telephone
advice or arrange to be seen at the centre for medically urgent problems.
The centre provides excellent facilities for dealing with medical emergencies
and is situated at Royal Preston Hospital next door to the Accident and
Emergency Department. You may be offered advice or asked to attend the
centre.
Patients whose medical condition prevents them from attending the centre can be
visited at home.
In desperate emergencies an ambulance can be summoned by dialling 999.
Out of hours help - dental
Available from 6.OOpm at Royal Preston Hospital (map).
Patients must telephone 01772 522016 rather
than turn up at the hospital.
An Emergency Dental Service is also available for people in Lancashire
who are not registered with a dentist and require emergency dental treatment during
these times: Monday to Friday from 9.OOam - 4.3Opm.
The emergency dental service is is based at Saul Street Clinic, off Walker Street,
in the centre of Preston (map)
within easy walking distance of the bus & railway stations with car parking
close by.
